Crow River Soccer Club Programs
Recreational Soccer:
CRSC offers recreational soccer for players that are U5-U8 years of age. Teams are made up of 10-12 players and casual games are played in a 4v4 format on a smaller sized field which allows more playing time, more contacts with the ball and more interaction with the coach. Scores are not kept. Typically the practice begins with fun drills that focus on basic ball handling skills, correct throwing and kicking technique and running which is followed with a short 30-40 minute game.
The season begins after Memorial Day and ends with a Jamboree on the weekend of Rails to Trails, usually the 3rd Sunday in July.
Rec soccer relies entirely on parent coaching volunteers. Each team requires two coaches and one manager. CRSC provides all the training in a fun atmosphere. Rec soccer’s main objective is fun and healthy exercise!
CRSC’s rec soccer program is fully sanctioned by Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. For more information visitwww.mnyouthsoccer.org and click on Leagues/Small sided.
Travel Soccer:
CRSC offers competitive soccer for U9-U18 players. Travel soccer begins with indoor clinics in March and practices outside as soon as weather allows. There are 10-12 games in a season beginning in May and ending in early July. After registration is complete, CRSC forms teams based on the number of players signed up by the first week in March. CRSC can not guarantee that a team will be available for every child. In that event, a full refund will be given, as well as suggestions for openings on teams in other clubs. Teams usually meet three times a week.
